Artist Capo Muffare died in London on June 28th, 2012 at the age of 32. It's reported that he began suffering from acute kidney injury just hours succeeding the opening of his online concept-exhibition, "Touch me, touch me, touch me, touch me." The exhibit was received with great enthusiasm as inaugurating a new phase in the artist's oeuvre, as well as a new direction for conceptual art more generally.

About the artist:
Capo Muffare was born in Modena, Italy in 1980. He trained at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden before moving to Leipzig where he quickly gained celebrity for his politically-inflected sound interventions. These works were largely the result of repurposing Johann Fux’s studies on counterpoint, applying the Baroque schemata to the layering of appropriated texts, especially those of the Italian Marxist tradition.
