Ann, matriarch, Mercer, bridge-player and golfer, died at home on 19th March aged 95 after a long, brave battle against infirmity. Widow of John, and previously widow of George Sturt, she was the daughter of Percy Watney and his wife.—Kathleen (née Corsellis) and the sister of Jack and Peter. Proud and devoted mother of Susan, grandmother of Antonia and great-granny of Sam, Paul and Saskia, she was also a much loved aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt.
