Den died peacefully after a brave and hard fought battle on 23 February 2013, at Mary Stevens Hospice, Stourbridge, aged 80. Married to Pauline for 61 years, a much loved husband, Dad and best friend to Stephen (and Sally), Richard (and Helen) and grandad to David.
To the last, Den wasn't about to give in! Few will know of his real battle because he could have won an Academy Award for disguising his pain knowing full well what was to come.
