The engagement is announced between Ian, son of Dr John and Dr Lynn Sheldrake, of Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, and Laura-Sophie, eldest daughter of the late Mr Martin James and of Mrs Dawn Willis, of Great Shelford, Cambridge.
