The engagement is announced between Lieutenant Charles Gordon, The Queen's Royal Lancers, youngest son of Major General and Mrs Robert Gordon, of Pewsey, Wiltshire, and Cicely, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs John Hayward, of Upper Siddington, Gloucestershire.
