Edward Parr OBE passed away very peacefully on 30th November 2012 after 20 months in hospital and Copper Beech Nursing Centre following a fall at home. He leaves his wife, Beryl, three step-sons, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Born in Ceylon where his family went back for 170 years, there followed Cheltenham College, Bristol University and The Royal Marine Engineers during the war. He was Director of water supplies in Hong Kong where he negotiated with Red China for water supplies which earned him his OBE. Private cremation followed by a service at 2.30 p.m. on Friday 21st December at St Bartholomew's Church, Maresfield.
